About Us

Who are we?

Sunshine Coast Christian Fellowship (SCCF) had its genesis in the ‘renewal movement’ of the 1970’s. Our congregation is drawn from all over the Sunshine Coast with the church building situated on 10 acres in Forest Glen, near Nambour.

SCCF is part of a national fellowship of 25 churches, and has international connections with New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia and Pakistan.

Life at SCCF

The church meets for a weekly service on Sunday, and twice a month in homes for informal Bible study and discussion. Young people from age 13-25 meet every Saturday night. Our children study the Sonseekers program during Sunday School. Find out more details regarding the different meetings, youth group, young adults group, Sunday School and others on the Church Program page

SCCF fosters family relationships.

We do not have a closed membership. All are welcome.

Our public life is expressed on Sunday, where we meet for a one-hour worship service, followed by all-age teaching. Our day to day life is one of sincere friendship, practical care and spiritual encouragement.

What is our aim?

SCCF aims to promote the following: the new life offered by Jesus Christ, relationship with God and others, sound family relationships, active care one for another, and responsible participation in the community.

What is our structure?

Our overall structure is one in which local, citywide churches in various towns and cities maintain active connection by supporting one another and sharing ministry. We focus on the basic New Testament teachings, and are part of a global movement seeking the restoration of the vitality of the early-day church.

Our public worship is a balance of modern and traditional styles, suitable for all ages.

Our leaders are not ‘ordained’ by an institution, but are appointed on the basis of specific needs or skills – whether for youth work, pastoral care, administration, teaching, worship, etc. Most leaders have secular employment, although a number of couples are in ‘full-time’ care of the church.
